News for our 2020 Season

Due to state guidelines and the continued presence of the Covid-19 virus, The Bernard Museum will remain closed to the public until further notice.

With most of our volunteer staff being of an age that warrants extra caution during this pandemic, and the difficulty of routinely disinfecting our multiple buildings and numerous artifacts, we have decided to postpone opening until such time as it is deemed safe to do so for staff and visitors alike.

We appreciate your past support and hope that support will continue on into the future.

Thank you!

It is with deep regret that we announce the passing of one our key board members and most important local history resource.
Gordon Mitchell passed away on January 7 of this year at the age of 73.
A former military linguist who served for more than 20 years, Gordon spent much of his retirement years providing his genealogy expertise to area residents.  His knowledge of local history was a great value to the Bernard Museum. We all relied on him for his knowledge of local families and businesses. We will all miss his contributions to the Society, the Museum, and our Board Meetings.

We invite to join our mailing list to receive emails about future events or our newsletter.
